Are you an experienced insurance professional looking to make an impact in the corporate and commercial sector? We’re hiring a Senior Commercial Account Handler to join our growing team and deliver excellent service to our clients. In this role, you’ll handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and provide expert advice to corporate clients, ensuring their insurance needs are fully met.
Our team is known for its supportive culture and collaboration. You’ll work with a group of 18 split into smaller teams, all dedicated to achieving success together. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about client service and looking to grow their career.
- Assist in achieving client retention targets by providing top-notch service.
- Collaborate with Client Directors and Account Executives to develop renewal strategies and attend client meetings as needed.
- Conduct market exercises to find the most competitive insurance terms.
- Acquire and present renewal terms to clients, issuing renewal documentation in line with contract certainty.
- Ensure premiums are collected before cover commences, following company procedures.
- Handle all queries efficiently, delivering professional advice and support to clients.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and correspondence using Acturis, and ensure all processes follow industry standards.
- Process mid-term adjustments, notifying insurers and issuing revised documentation as required.
- Cross-sell products from other divisions, contributing to business growth.
- Support other areas of the business when necessary.
Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Certificate in Insurance or working towards it (desirable).
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial insurance.
- Knowledge of key insurance products and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with Acturis or similar platforms.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong technical insurance skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and handle work efficiently.
- Strong negotiation and broking skills.
- Ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and provide tailored advice to clients.
