London, UK, United Kingdom NAMED COLLECTIVE® Full time

About the company

NAMED COLLECTIVE was launched with a clear mission: to redefine streetwear for a new generation. A brand, a community, a revolution… call it what you want - just make sure you don’t sleep on it.

We’re a community before brand - dialogue, innovation, and genuine connection are the essence of NAMED COLLECTIVE. Together with our fiercely supportive community, we’re co-creating streetwear for today and the future - a guiding light for those who refuse to blend in.

NAMED COLLECTIVE has over 1.5m highly engaged community members and customers on our socials and has already generated profitable 15x growth over the past 4 years. We’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible for the brand internationally, with 35% of sales in the UK, 35% in the USA and 30% across the rest of the world from our one eCommerce store.

In May, we completed a review with proven brand / DTC growth consultancy The Growth Foundation to help guide our growth, with particular attention on building the right team to deliver our ambitious plans for continued, profitable growth over the coming years. This career-defining role, along with a handful of roles across the business joining our collective now, will help us achieve our objectives.

About the role

Reporting to our Co-Founder & Commercial Director, you’ll take strategic and day-to-day tactical ownership for NAMED COLLECTIVE’s direct to consumer sales revenue across our markets. You’ll need to have commercial acumen to trade whilst delivering against overall revenue and profit targets.

Roles and responsibilities...

Strategic Support:

  • Support founders to codify and continuously improve our strategy to deliver:
  • Employee NPS >8
  • Customer NPS >8
  • Develop and implement operational strategies & tactics that align with the company’s growth objectives - with particular attention to our needs internationally - and enhance efficiency and scalability,;
  • Collaborate with senior management to define operational goals and KPIs;
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of eCommerce trading;

Tactical Execution:

  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day trading of the NAMED COLLECTIVE’s eCommerce stores to achieve revenue growth;
  • Responsible for net revenue targets and other KPIs including average order size, value and conversion rates, as well as generating relevant reporting daily, weekly, monthly result vs targets;
  • Create and own the trading calendar which details how we’ll hit all financial targets and KPIs;
  • Own the analytical and CRO tools that will help unlock greater insight to build hypotheses and then test in order to generate incremental output against your KPIs;
  • Build and manage a Trading Team with heads who’ll manage trading for international stores / or product categories in the future, as well as the technical / systems architecture;
  • Define, shape and implement a long-term e-commerce strategy and tactics to exceed revenue targets and KPIs and proactively seek opportunities to drive incremental growth, engaging key stakeholders across all areas of the Product, Brand, Marketing, Finance and Operations functions;
  • Work with Marketing function to build, execute and optimise marketing tactics to generate incremental traffic (including paid search, paid social & CRM) to the store - building market leading landing pages and journeys;
  • Own all visual merchandising of the e-commerce store from product to signposting and work with the Content and Design teams to create engaging content that drives engagement and sales;
  • Feed into the product strategy with data & insights from e-commerce sales to create products our target audience and consumers love;
  • Support and challenge the Technology partners to design, develop and deploy the tools you need to deliver your objectives, quickly resolving any short-term bugs or general functionality issues;
  • Unlock customer and business insight (through deep segmentation) to optimise our e-commerce activities;
  • Keep up to date and provide expertise on current e-commerce industry best practice, with Trading / CRO focus;
  • Positively impact and influence internal stakeholders and external partners;
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with company stakeholders and partners;
  • Think like a customer, all the time, every day.

Increase Revenue or Lower Costs:

You have a great opportunity to focus on both, drive more revenues, while looking for cost saving through greater productivity, reducing errors across the Brand and wider business functions.

About you

To succeed at NAMED COLLECTIVE, you must have an entrepreneurial mindset and a growth-oriented attitude. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate the fast-paced and constantly evolving nature of our direct to consumer, e-commerce apparel business. You must be willing to take calculated risks and have a bias for action, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the business. You must be a strategic thinker, with the ability to balance short-term tactics and objectives with long-term vision and goals.

Additionally, you must be customer-focused and have a deep understanding of our target audience. You must be passionate about apparel and have your finger on the pulse of the latest trends in eCommerce, visual merchandising (UX/UI) and conversion rate optimisation. You must be creative, innovative and analytical, with the ability to anticipate and respond to changing customer needs and preferences, before they happen.

  • 5+ years’ experience as an eCommerce Trading Manager in a direct to consumer eCommerce brand, ideally within the apparel category along with international / cloned stores experience across the UK, USA and Europe;
  • Fully operational to leading edge experience of Shopify Plus and common 3rd party applications - with technical capability;
  • Fully operational to leading edge experience with Analytical / CRO tools like Google Analytics etc;
  • Working knowledge of demand creation and optimisation of inbound traffic channels from Organic, Earned, Paid Media & CRM;
  • Intellectual and emotional intelligence; you understand how to maximise output in conversion activity where a blend of skills and experience are required (data analysis vs creative visual merchandising and UX are quite different approaches);
  • A test and learn methodology at the heart of your execution;
  • Able to work in a high-performance environment and deliver against challenging deadlines;
  • Willingness to learn new approaches and adapt to different working styles;
  • Have a proven track record as a commercial individual, who understands brand, fans and customers;
  • You are independent and self-directed but able to work and lead a team of creative individuals;
  • A quick learner who can process lots of information and prioritise / has a bias for action;
  • Are bullish about NAMED COLLECTIVE and its potential.
