The Role – Background:
This role will work closely with the Commercial Finance Manager, EMEA to deliver on all aspects of financial planning and analysis, with key focus on KPI reporting and decision support. The role will also play a role in the monthly close process.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the Commercial Finance team, EMEA in the preparation of EMEA forecast financial information and the budget cycle, including retail and wholesale operations within the region.
- Prepare accurate weekly KPI reporting which should be delivered on a timely manner.
- Work with the Area Managers and Retail Director to roll out retail stretch targets.
- Work together with the Commercial Finance Manager, EMEA to identify cost saving opportunities in the region.
- Preparation of month end accruals and intercompany recharges.
- Preparation of monthly commissions calculations.
- Participate in commercial decision making, challenging and advising on assumptions and conclusions so that the business can make the right financial calls.
- Continuously seek to improve reporting and presentation formats to deliver more informative and useful information to the EMEA teams.
- Assist with preparation of ad hoc financial information as required.
- Using own initiative to identify value add projects where time permits.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Graduate from university with the goal of undertaking the CIMA qualification
- Role can be performed as a temporary internship or work placement as part of a university degree
- Eagerness to learn and develop
