Our client has built an online high performance video editing and content creation platform accessible through a web browser designed for today’s most innovative creators, businesses, and agencies. With their intuitive interface and advanced tools, users can create, collaborate, and share professional-grade video content—anywhere, anytime
The Role:
As a fast-growing team of 35, they're looking for a dynamic, data-driven Marketing Director who understands the pain points of video creation today, and who's excited by the development of the creator economy. Somebody who understands that every business now needs to tell stories internally and externally through video. Somebody who can drive explosive growth and take their platform to a premium pay proposition.

Leading a small but mighty marketing team (currently 3), you'll work closely with leadership to align on business goals and turn bold ideas into reality, all while staying laser-focused on what matters most: the customer.

Responsibilities:
- Growth Strategy & Execution: Build & implement a growth marketing strategy focused on scaling both B2C creators and B2B teams, leveraging product-led growth principles.
- User Acquisition & Activation: Own acquisition across multiple channels (paid, organic, SEO, content, referrals) and ensure users move smoothly through the funnel—from sign-up to first video edit and beyond.
- Optimise Product-Led Growth (PLG): Work closely with the CPO, product and engineering teams to enhance the user experience, ensuring their free-to-paid conversion rates, user activation and developing a prolific viral growth flywheel and enhancing k-score at the forefront of all efforts.
- Retention & LTV: Develop and execute strategies to increase retention, improve customer lifetime value, and reduce churn.
- Performance & Data-Driven Decision Making: Measure, optimise, and report on KPIs such as CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and organic growth, making data-informed decisions at every step.
- Leadership: Lead and mentor, their small marketing team, driving alignment on growth goals and encouraging creativity, innovation, and ownership.
- Brand Building: Amplify the brand, expanding their presence through content marketing, partnerships, and strategic campaigns to position them as the go-to platform for video creation and editing.
- Community Building: Establish a community of users and enthusiasts for the product through social media and other mediums in order to provide education, news, inspirational content and allow users to interact.
Must Have's:
- Creator Economy Passion, Knowledge and Network: A deep understanding of the Creator Economy (and Corporate video production industry) so that you can hit the ground running in understanding the product value and most appropriate markets.
- Proven Growth Marketing Experience: Experience specifically in Product Led Growth marketing, with a track record of scaling SaaS or tech platforms (bonus if it’s a content creation tool).
- Product-Led Growth Expertise: Deep understanding of PLG strategies, focusing on free-to-paid user funnels, in-app user experience, and leveraging the product to drive viral and organic growth.
- Data-Driven & Analytical: Experience with growth metrics and experimentation, able to track performance across channels and make data-informed decisions. A deep understanding of how Google Ads, Meta and other platforms work from targeting and lookalike audiences perspective and how to mine seams of data to drive audiences of value to them.
- Hands-On Leader: You’re ready to lead a small team while rolling up your sleeves to execute strategies yourself.
