As a case administrator in our ERA team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of corporate cases, with a varied range of matters and complexities arising. This role is aimed at individuals with existing experience and interest in ERA case work who are eager to progress their career in a client facing role in a lively, stimulating and busy environment working under pressure and to deadlines.

The Team

The restructuring practice has over 500 staff in 11 offices around the UK. We work with businesses in financial stress, distress and in insolvency across all sectors and in all locations across the UK.

We provide a number of service lines, including:
  • restructuring advice to companies who are under performing or experiencing liquidity problems, and/or to their key stakeholders;
  • accelerated M&A advice through the acquisition or sale of companies with a need for turnaround;
  • turnaround support (including cost reduction and working capital improvement);
  • options reviews to help businesses and/or their stakeholders take the correct action;
  • cash forecasting & management;
  • advice to trustees of defined benefit pension schemes, where a funding deficit requires to be met by the sponsoring employer; and
  • all forms of corporate insolvency appointments to entities from sole traders to partnerships, limited companies and PLCs.
There will also be the opportunity to work with our wider UK team on insolvency assignments, often on some of the highest profile businesses in the UK.

Key Accountabilities

The successful candidate will work with Interpath's restructuring colleagues and other team members with an employee specialism to assist with the delivery of employee matters arising in corporate insolvency engagements.

In providing assistance as an effective employee case administrator you will:
  • Work alongside case managers and engagement leaders to provide support on corporate insolvency cases - primarily from the office, with work from a client site required at times;
  • Have ownership of a portfolio of cases, with responsibility for proactive case progression of employee related matters and employee claims;
  • Attend employee meetings on your cases and provide correct and appropriate advice, including responding to queries raised;
  • Ensure all correspondence is responded to and queries dealt with effectively;
  • Prepare employee related correspondence, minutes of employee meetings, file notes, emails, letters, schedules and analysis;
  • Interact with the insolvency office-holders, appointers, directors, creditors, employees, and other relevant stakeholders in relation to employee matters;
  • Ensure our database (IPS) is maintained for employee information;
  • Liaise with Company HR/Payroll staff to obtain information required to address employee related matters;
  • Make payments to HMRC/Pension providers by relevant deadlines;
  • be a self-starter, able to demonstrate quality and consistency in every task performed;
  • ensure work is prioritised and that deadlines are met, consulting with senior colleagues as required;
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
Requirements

We are seeking an individual with existing ERA experience, who is additionally able to demonstrate:
  • An interest in a career in insolvency, specifically ERA matters, with a willingness to learn quickly and operate as part of a team.
  • An interest in and understanding of commercial and financial matters and be able to demonstrate practical common sense and commercial awareness.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • An ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple assignments simultaneously whilst ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • A committed, enthusiastic, proactive and conscientious approach to all aspects of your work and be able to produce high quality, detailed and accurate work.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to confidently and articulately deal with all parties in what can sometimes be difficult situations;
  • A high standard of written work - predominantly email and letter writing;
  • The ability to work innovatively and self-start", either individually or as part of a team;
  • A consistent professional manner.
  • Employment law knowledge.
  • A willingness to travel on occasion and work form your chosen home office and from time to time work from a client site as required.
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship
The successful applicant will require some flexibility in their working environment, with a mixture of working from Interpath offices, home and, on occasion, from client sites.
