The Role

As a Maintenance Operative, you will attend to the overall maintenance of our client’s three buildings and gardens onsite.

Working closely with your line manager and team, you will ensure a safe environment for staff and service users alike.

You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day maintenance and management of the hydrotherapy pool, as well as the changing rooms and plant room.

You will also perform minor fixes, such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps in walls and undertaking painting and decoration.

Additionally, you will:

- Undertake general grounds upkeep, external gardening, drain clearance and cleaning
- Replace light bulbs, install appliances, porter goods, clear waste, clean and fuel vehicles
- Undertake and record routine building safety checks

Once trained, you will take part in an on-call, out of hours rota.

Please note, due to our client’s open and collaborative working environment and the nature of their work with children and adults with disabilities, all our client’s office-based roles can experience periods of elevated noise levels and some elements of disruption.

About You

To be considered as a Maintenance Operative, you will need:

- GCSEs (or equivalent) with a pass in Maths
- A good level of IT literacy
