London, UK, United Kingdom Curio Careers Full time

A London-based consultancy is seeking an Operations (Design or Project) Manager to assist a Project Director with a residential property project in the UK. This role is well-suited for individuals with a keen eye for detail and experience managing high-end, super-prime residential projects in the UK.

The consultancy serves as the client representative during the construction process, working with high-profile UHNWIs, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as discretion and confidentiality.

The role's responsibilities include project management, overseeing the budget and program plan, and managing the consultancy and project teams on behalf of the client for the UK-based project. The ideal candidate will act as the project's main point of contact, with the ability to understand intricate details, anticipate and address issues, and serve as the client’s advocate throughout all project stages. Additionally, this role involves attending client meetings, taking meeting notes, and preparing meeting content and information. The role requires individuals able to think both macro and micro while overseeing, improving, and maintaining current processes, and sharing knowledge.

The role combines skill sets from project, design, and operational management. The focus will be on this one project, valued at over £100 million. All applicants must have experience with high-end residential projects and client exposure to private housing.

Please note that this is not a developer role, nor will you be working on commercial assets. Current project, design, operations managers, or client representatives in the UK with experience in private residential housing will be suitable for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Director on private, super-prime real estate
  • Report writing
  • Manage external consultant teams
  • Detail-driven, able to create deliverables for the client and consultant team
  • Program planning

Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Design, Project, or Operations Manager in a UK consultancy or contractor
  • Demonstrable experience working on large-scale UK residential projects
  • Understanding and knowledge of high-end residential property
  • Strong knowledge of the processes and inputs involved in high-end residential construction and refurbishment projects
  • Knowledge of all RIBA stages
  • Ability to manage work streams on numerous projects concurrently
  • Excellent client relationship and client-facing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Numerically strong, fluent in Excel and project management software

This role will suit a detail-oriented individual who wants to focus their skills on one project, work in a small, lean team, and have the responsibility of ensuring that a multimillion-pound project runs smoothly.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
