Job Description - The Role

An opportunity has arisen with the Real Estate Platform team, which is part of the wider Investment Platform team. The Investment Platform team is a central function within Investment Transformation and Technology, reporting to the Asset Management COO with a global remit. The Real Estate Platform team supports business areas across M&G Real Estate as well as their external business operating partners to maintain and enhance the global systems operating platform environment.

This contract role is for an experienced Project Manager/Business Analyst to lead on a key onboarding project, working closely with key business stakeholders and with an existing support team, which is supporting the Yardi Voyager platform globally across the UK, Europe and APAC regions and other in-house developed systems. The scope of this assignment is focused on onboarding Residential Fund Factsheets to the M&G Real Estate platform.

Responsibilities of the role;

  • Lead the project team through all project stages from inception to closure
  • Develop project plans and associated communications documents
  • Estimate the project resources needed to achieve project goals
  • Identify and resolve issues within the project team; manage dependencies and critical path
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, produce progress reports as agreed
  • Liaise with internal and external resources as required throughout the project life cycle
  • Act as lead business and technical analyst on this project, defining and monitoring the technical build delivery
  • Ensure a technical environment is prepared for testing and training
  • Define and document system testing plans
  • Execute system test plans and resolve issues to successfully complete stage
  • Support business stakeholders in preparing and executing regression/user acceptance testing plans
  • Prepare and execute detailed implementation/cut-over plan
  • Oversee hand-over to business as usual support team

What we require from the candidate:

  • Proven track record in a similar role in a Real Estate fund management or property management organisation with experience of multi-jurisdictional platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of working with Microsoft Excel, ideally within a Residential context
  • Strong understanding of Real Estate property management and property accounting business processes
  • Strong understanding of fund reporting at various levels within a fund structure is helpful, but not essential
  • Experience of operating within a structured business change and systems environment
  • Working with internal teams and third parties to ensure that requirements are met within agreed timescales
  • Ability to operate under pressure and deliver to demanding deadlines
  • Confident, proactive and self-motivated individual, able to work on own initiative
  • Experience of providing challenge to requirements and proposed solutions
  • Problem solving ability within a complex investment management environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to define and document business requirements and process flows to a high standard
  • Experience of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams/SharePoint and Word is essential
  • Experience of Agile development methodology is desirable
