Paralegal – Real Estate Residential Team (City of London)



Our client are a top 100 award winning law firm with offices regionally across the UK. We are seeking a motivated Paralegal to join their growing Real Estate Residential team based in the City of London. In this role, you will support experienced fee earners with client matters, general conveyancing, and post-completion tasks.


The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of conveyancing processes, SAR (Solicitors Accounts Rules), and Land Registry practices. Previous relevant experience is preferred.




Key Responsibilities:


- Assisting fee earners with general enquiries and managing client matters.

- Handling telephone calls into the department and directing calls appropriately.

- Responding to enquiries within your level of knowledge and experience, as directed by supervisors.

- Making calls to clients and third parties involved in conveyancing transactions.

- Ordering searches (where applicable) and documents from the Land Registry.

- Preparing contract packs for sale transactions and completing pre-completion tasks, including drafting Certificates of Title for supervisor sign-off.

- Keeping the case management system fully up to date and ensuring all post is logged in the digital system.

- Liaising with clients, estate agents, brokers, and introducers, and promptly responding to requests for updates.

- Assisting with Help to Buy matters and other conveyancing-related tasks.



Skills and Experience:


- Strong understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

- Basic knowledge of conveyancing, Land Registry practices, and post-completion processes.

- Previous experience with new build and Help to Buy matters is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.



Work Arrangements:


This is an office-based role for four days a week, with the option to work remotely one day per week after the initial settling-in period.
