About the Role: We are looking for a passionate and experienced Development Chef to join our team. In this role, you will be working directly with the Egg Soldiers team and managing client-facing projects. You will be operationally responsible for the recipe development aspect of projects, taking the initial brief from the project team and working a menu vision into reality. This includes creating fully costed and verified recipes, training clients' teams, and ensuring the smooth running of menu development projects.

Our clients range from fast casual brands, cafés, restaurants, QSRs, pubs and other hospitality establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support various projects, ensuring smooth delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Develop recipes and menus based on client briefs, considering skill levels, cuisine, and flavours.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure the correct products are used.
  • Present recipes and dishes confidently to clients.
  • Plan and host recipe and cooking training sessions with clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Provide periodic updates and reports on project status and key concerns.

Key Personal Attributes, Skills, and Knowledge Required:

  • Strong culinary background with experience in various business operations, from QSRs to fast casual, cafes and restaurants.
  • Experienced Development Chef with a precise and methodical approach to development and recipe writing.
  • Keen interest in the food industry and broad knowledge of trends and new developments.
  • Innovative and creative, with the ability to surprise with knowledge and ideas.
  • Confidence and ability to work independently and with the wider team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Presentable, friendly, confident, and professional manner.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude and willingness to travel when needed.
  • Ability to grow and take on more responsibilities as you learn our ways of working.
  • Teamwork-oriented with a focus on client needs and opportunities.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and productive, with a commitment to quality and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK and commute into London.
  • Ability to travel UK-wide and internationally, with some overnight stays.
