Outline of the Role

Responsible for the day-to-day order management of the supply chain for our customers across the world into predominantly Energy markets.


Key responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Receive, review and acknowledge our customer orders and intercompany shipments efficiently and accurately
  • Co-ordinating the supply of our materials both packed and bulk around the world from numerous manufacturing locations
  • Liaising with our customers, through email and telephone and responding within 24 hours
  • Discuss availability concerns, employing methods of resolution such as negotiating lead time, alternative shipping points, alternative packaging etc should the need arise
  • Proactively track and facilitate resolution of customer related concerns ensuring sensitive and timely feedback
  • Working with our internal and external partners to fulfil customer requirements in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the commercial, technical and manufacturing teams
  • Booking transportation with pre-selected carriers
  • Execution of export/import procedures and documentation
  • Billing, material price entry, creation of credit and debit notes as necessary
  • Consignment stock management and billing
  • Timely upload of all required information and documentation to our customers portals
  • Maintenance of customer master data

Experience required

  • Should have experience in the Energy sector
  • Demonstratable knowledge of SAP (Sales & Distribution module essential)
  • Proficient IT skills particularly in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Minimum of 5 x GCSE’s (grade 4 and above) including English & Math (or equivalent). Or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Understanding of the export documentation process would be desirable
  • An understanding of logistics/transport would be desirable
