Passionate about environmental sustainability? Love working in the events industry? This could be your dream job. We're looking for an experienced Events Officer who wants to make a difference at a wonderful, environmental and sustainability-focused organisation, as part of a close-knit team. This is such a perfect opportunity for the right person. You'll lead the events programme, so will need to be able to work automonously but with lots of support on hand, should you need.

As the successful Events Officer, you'll benefit from hybrid working with 2 days a week in the central Bristol office and 3 days a week working from home. As you'd expect, there is some travel required for this role. You'll attend 8-10 events a year, some of which can be done in a day, some of which will require no more than 2 nights away.

What will give you the edge.

  • Delegate management
  • Booking venues, including contract negotiation
  • Logisitics
  • Event timelines
  • Creating project plans for events

You don't need budget management experience for this role, though you have the opportunity to progress and develop those skills, taking on budget responsibility once you're ready.

Your new job.

As the successful Event Officer, you'll lead the delivery of the entire events programme for the organisation. Whilst this is a big responsibility that requires an organised and proactive approach, you'll be well supported as part of a lovely team. An understanding or familiarity of membership organisations would stand you in good stead. You'll have a customer service led approach that prioritises the needs of the membership.

Your new home.

This wonderful organisation have a big impact on the environment in the UK. You'll work as part of a warm and welcoming team who love their work and are super supportive.

Your reward.

A salary of £26-28k, plus hybrid working with two days a week in the Bristol office and three days a week working from home. You'll benefit from a supportive, collaborative and creative environment with a great working culture.
