Role Overview:

As a HR Consultant, you will be instrumental in shaping our HR strategy and functions while ensuring alignment with the bank's overall objectives. This is a high-impact role that requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing outsourced staffing solutions to offshore locations. Your expertise in HR policy development, organisational structure analysis, and ESG strategy management will be critical to the success of this programme.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the outsourcing initiatives for staffing to offshore locations, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Analyse and redesign organisational structures to enhance performance and adaptability in a rapidly evolving banking environment.
  • Design, implement, and review HR policies and programs that support the overall business strategy and align with best HR practices.
  • Develop and oversee the execution of our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy within the HR function, promoting sustainability and ethical practices.
  • Manage the complexities of the TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) regulations, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to enhance the HR Systems landscape, providing recommendations for improvements and ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on HR-related issues, offering insights and strategic solutions.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, particularly in the retail banking sector or similar financial services environment.
  • Extensive experience in managing the outsourcing of staff to offshore locations, with a clear understanding of the associated challenges and regulations.
  • Demonstrable experience in analysing organisational structures and implementing effective HR policies and programs.
  • Strong background in developing and managing ESG strategies and initiatives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR systems, with an ability to leverage technology for improved HR function effectiveness.
  • Essential experience and knowledge of TUPE regulations and their application in an organisational context.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
