EML is a successful provider of HR, H&S and Employment Law services, and has been supporting employers for more than 35 years. We offer clients a commercial, no-nonsense approach and a personal service which sets us apart from larger HR service providers.
We are looking for an experienced part time Employment Tribunal Consultant to join our team for 3 days per week. The overall purpose of the role is to provide clients with first class support and advice in respect of any Employment Law issue, and to represent clients who are faced with Employment Tribunal/Early Conciliation claims.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing clients with advice in respect of more complex employment law issues and assisting the wider team as necessary.
- Liaising with ACAS in respect of Early Conciliation claims
- Acting as the client’s representative in Employment Tribunal proceedings, including all advocacy
- Drafting Settlement Agreements and related documents
- Preparing written briefings, reports and articles on HR/Employment Law topics
- Designing and delivering Employment Law training
We are looking for an excellent communicator who will be able to provide confident advice in a friendly manner. The candidate will need to have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, and experience in a similar consultancy environment would be a definite advantage.
The ideal candidate will also:
- have a strong academic record (degree level or equivalent)
- have a good eye for detail and excellent writing skills
- be adaptable and willing to take on a range of responsibilities
- work well as part of a close-knit team
- be comfortable in identifying and progressing consultancy opportunities with new and existing clients
