The role


As our Leadership Development and Talent Lead, you will develop and implement the Learning and Development (L&D) strategy to enhance core capabilities at all levels within Marshall. This role is responsible designing and delivering high-quality programs, including leadership training, fundamental management skills, talent development (including technical apprenticeships), and essential training such as induction and regulatory/compliance courses for all employees. Additionally, this role will refine the performance approach and framework to foster a culture of high performance through regular conversations and feedback, ensuring the development and retention of top talent.



Who you are


  • You are an experienced L&D leader with specialist knowledge; a thought leader around leadership and talent best practices and theories
  • You have strong leadership, coaching and team working skills and are proactive and passionate and coaching and developing others
  • You will have strong understanding and experience with the implementation of various learning methodologies and approaches, eg virtual, face to face and 70:20:10 principle
  • Experienced with psychometric tools including Insights Discovery, Hogan and Thomas International and be confident interpreting and facilitating 360 feedback
  • A confident relationship builder -excellent stakeholder management skills up to c-suite level
  • You are an innovative and creative thinker with good commercial and business acumen



What you’ll do


  • Develop the long term L&D plan and KPI’s working closely with HRBP’s and HR Director to support Marshall Motor Group’s people priorities
  • Launch and embed the Constellation Automotive Group’s leadership framework and digital offering, ensuring consistency and alignment of leadership expectations at all levels
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to understand development needs, providing expertise on all leadership and talent related topics from coaching and feedback to driving team effectiveness
  • Coach and develop senior leaders and their teams using a combination of 360 feedback tools and psychometrics to build development plans and increase performance
  • Develop best in class induction and onboarding experience for all Marshall colleagues and partner with compliance and health and safety to design engaging interactive learning
  • Deliver a fully functioning LMS and offering, ensuring high quality, relevant content aligned to business needs, evolving and adapting as needed
  • Develop the apprenticeship offering, working with divisions and recruitment to ensure we attract, recruit and retain the best technical apprentices and optimise government levy
  • Manage external suppliers and contracts and support the management of the L&D budget, tracking and reporting on a monthly basis
