New Role – Development/Asset Management Associate Director - Cambridge




Running Hare Investment Management, is a young ambitious business based in Cambridge City Centre specialising in real estate investment, development and funding in joint venture with UHNW families and funds.


The business was set up by a seasoned real estate professional with long experience and existing clients. Currently only a small team of three, in the 36 months since launch the business has acquired three million square feet of assets. These include shopping centres, residential and industrial assets acquired for regeneration and redevelopment, a number of which are already being progressed through the planning process for major mixed-use regeneration schemes. We also have assets acquired for income for which the asset management strategy is to optimise the income stream of the standing asset.



The business now needs high quality, ambitious Development/Asset Management professionals with some experience to grow the asset base and to manage the assets through to realisation. The role is based in Cambridge and will be for five days a week.




The Role


Development/Asset Manager Associate Director


• Oversee your own UK portfolio of assets.

• Co-ordination of professional team for planning and development projects.

• Deliver significant projects through the planning process.

• Repositioning of assets when relevant.

• Oversight of agents and marketing process.

• Maximise revenue and occupancy.

• Preparation and maintenance of business plans and budgets.

• Build, manage and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders.

• Office based.

The Candidate


▪ Ambitious candidate with strong initiative, seeking to progress and help build a business,.

▪ Strong academic background, Real Estate degree preferred.

▪ Minimum of four years of experience in developing and asset managing.

▪ Ideally commercial and residential experience.

▪ Knowledge of legislation for commercial leases.

▪ Solid analytical/logical mindset and an attention to detail.

▪ Strong written and verbal communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationships.

▪ High level of proficiency with MS Office Excel.

▪ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities to conclusion within agreed-upon deadlines.

▪ Strong presentation skills organized and able to develop and foster successful team relationships.

▪ Strong industry relationships
