Senior National Account Manager

Exciting opportunity to join a fast growing beauty business whose portfolio of beauty brands includes skincare, haircare and beauty. They are looking for a Senior National Account Manager to join their London HQ. In this position, you will be managing key accounts to maximise revenue and profit for the company in line with immediate goals and longer term growth targets as well as increasing the profile and presence of brands across target retailer channels. The ideal person will be proactive with a holistic view, always seeking to optimise new and existing business opportunities and drive profitable and sustainable sales, whilst working cross functionally to enhance and improve the equity of their brands in the marketplace.

Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with existing retailers through regular communication and meetings delivering compelling rationale supporting proposals
- Proactively communicate with all retailers, developing strategies and communication plans
- Initiate and develop effective working relationships with key decision makers in retail and distribution partners across all commercial areas including Buying, Supply, and Marketing
- Lead account planning to optimise product assortments, in store exposure and trade marketing support delivering against annual sales and investment targets
- Oversee the creation of engaging, insightful retailer presentations to maximise sales opportunities and develop long-term relationships
- Work with internal brand and marketing teams to deliver marketing and NPD programmes in line with achieving growth targets, measuring effectiveness of each campaign
- Maximise effective use of CRM and data insight systems for lead generation, marketing activity, retailer support and latest retailer information available
- Ability to be the “eyes and ears” of the company in all opportunities for sales growth in the UK and Internationally
- Build JBPs with each retailer aligned with business strategy, ensure delivery against these from a sales, stock and investment perspective
- Proactively review performance against contractual set targets and look to improve gross margin across all active partners. Managing exit from non performing or profit eroding partners
- In conjunction with the key stakeholders set goals and lead the UK sales growth, driving improvements to ROS and base growth in line with business expectations
- Excellence in forecasting, planning and implementing best practice
- Working alongside the Global Head of Sales to develop growth targets for existing retailers, assess new business opportunities, plan and implement retailer strategies to deliver sales and profitability
You
- Commercially curious with the ability to create a clearly defined, cohesive and comprehensive sales pipeline including new business development for prospecting
- Previous experience as a SAM or AM in the beauty space with excellent market knowledge
- Previous experience driving new revenue discussions with accountability for new business generation, strategy and direction
- Ability to deliver against monthly, quarterly and annual sales budget and provide relevant recommendations for adjustments to UK sales strategy
- Confident with managing budgets, cash flow and forecasting
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to network, influence and educate
- Ability to build cohesive understanding of how sales and marketing strategies are interlinked
