The Assistant to the Business Development Team will support the team in identifying opportunities, managing client relationships, preparing proposals, and executing strategies to grow the business. The role involves research, administrative tasks, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth business development operations.


Key Responsibilities:


Administrative Support

  • Organise and manage schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements for the Business Development team.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Track and manage client and prospect data using Salesforce.


Research and Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Compile and analyse data to support business development strategies.
  • Assist in preparing sales forecasts and performance reports.


Client Interaction and Relationship Management

  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to coordinate meetings and follow-ups.
  • Support the team in maintaining strong relationships with existing clients through regular engagement.
  • Address client inquiries and escalate them to the appropriate team member when needed.


Proposal and Presentation Support

  • Assist in drafting proposals, presentations, and other client facing materials.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information for proposals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of documents and RFPs (Request for Proposals)


Coordination and Collaboration

  • Liaise with internal departments such as marketing , and operations to ensure alignment on business development goals.
  • Support event planning for conferences, and client meetings.
  • Follow up on action items from meetings and business development initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (ideally but not compulsory).
  • Proven experience (5 years plus) in administrative roles; experience in business development or sales support is a plus.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
