Job Description:

As a Communications and Content Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective communication spanning both internal and external communications.

We are seeking a comms all-rounder who can create compelling and creative content that speaks to our audience of public and private sector clients, our end customers, and wider stakeholder group. Producing engaging and lively social media content is a must.

As a self-motivated person, you will take initiative in your projects, whether it's helping to script an Exec Team video for our social channels or devising and drafting internal messages to our team of 43,000 colleagues.

Your outstanding communication skills will be backed by an ability to tailor messages across a variety of platforms, ensuring clarity, engagement, and impact. This is a hands-on role, which will require end-to-end production and delivery of communications material.

This is a remote role reporting to our head of external communications.

What you will do:

Content Strategy and Creation:
  • Develop and deliver communications content aligned with Capita's business objectives and corporate communications strategy.
  • Create compelling and relevant content for various external platforms, including social media, website, newsletters, and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce high-quality content that resonates with our target audience.

Social Media:
  • Manage external communication channels including social media profiles and website news content such as blogs.
  • Monitor online conversations.
  • Coordinate with marketing and PR teams to maintain a cohesive voice.

Internal Communications:
  • Align on internal communication delivery, including email newsletters and town hall meetings.
What we are looking for:
  • Proven experience in content creation, social media, and writing, reviewing and editing high quality content.
  • A solid understanding of how to drive engagement across LinkedIn and X.
  • Experience working in a high-profile and complex organisation.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English
  • Creative mindset and the ability to think strategically about content development and distribution across various channels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with digital comms tools and analytics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
