We are working on an exciting permanent Sales Lead position with a fast paced and trusted organisation leading in the delivery of data-driven AI products and services across public sector clients.
This is a critical role for the organisation as they launch the new chapter in their journey becoming the top innovation partner for the public sector. With this in mind, they are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Sales Lead to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy particularly targeting Local Government and Local Authorities.
Responsibilities:
- Driving sales efforts for the or in the public sector, specifically targeting Local Government.
- Working with short, medium and long sales cycle and managing sales through a sometimes-detailed procurement process.
- Develop and lead customer relationships
- Identify, drive and close opportunities within the agreed market area, working closely with pre-sales, bid management and sales support teams.
- Selling the complete solution portfolio including products and services.
- Managing all forecasting and account/opportunity detail within SalesForce.
Ideal Candidate:
- 4-5+ years’ experience in public sector sales, particularly in selling software or technology products.
- Must have networks/contacts within the local government (public sector) with a deep understanding of decision-making processes within government organisations
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (in the public sector).
- Strong understanding of the Local Government landscape in the UK.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
