Role Overview:

The Executive Assistant will work directly with the CEO, acting as his right-hand person. This role demands a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and adaptability. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running and support the CEO across a wide range of tasks, contributing significantly to the company’s mission and growth. This is a senior-level position where you will function not only as an Executive Assistant but also as a strategic partner to the CEO. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, possess and be degree. For this role, it is crucial to have an exceptionally well-organised EA who is meticulous, proactive, and highly efficient. The candidate must excel in effective communication and possess strong business skills, capable of managing a busy and ever-changing workload. Being a team player with a flexible, can-do attitude is essential. This is an all or nothing role; and one which will require commitment if you are to be successful.


Key Responsibilities:

Executive Support:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CEO, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Prepare and organise documents for meetings, ensuring the CEO is well-prepared for all engagements.
  • Attend meetings with or on behalf of the CEO, taking minutes and ensuring follow-up on action items.


Communication and Coordination:

  • Facilitate effective communication between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the CEO and the executive team, ensuring alignment and clarity on priorities.


Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on industry trends, competitors, and potential opportunities in the energy and finance sectors.
  • Compile reports and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Presentation and Documentation:
  • Develop, proofread, and enhance high-level presentations, ensuring they are polished and impactful.
  • Draft and review reports, speeches, and other documents, maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.


Project Management:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of strategic projects, tracking progress and ensuring timely completion.
  • Identify potential issues and proactively suggest solutions to keep projects on track.


Confidentiality and Discretion:

  • Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
  • Manage confidential documents and ensure secure storage and handling.


Personal Support:

  • Support the CEO with personal tasks and commitments as required, maintaining a balance between professional and personal assistance.


Start-Up Environment:

  • Embrace the varied and dynamic nature of a start-up environment, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.


Required Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Degree qualified, preferably with an MBA or similar advanced degree.

Industry Knowledge: Understanding and experience in the finance, private equity/M&A, or energy industry.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to create and enhance presentations and spreadsheets.

Language Proficiency: Fluent in English

Writing: Excellent writing skills are a must
