Our client has an immediate opportunity for a permanent Accounts/Finance Assistant to be based at their Head Office in Newbridge, Edinburgh.
The Accounts/ Finance Assistant will support the finance business partner with day to day intercompany and sales recharge operations, which will include:
- Invoice processing & checking supplier statements.
- Ensuring purchase ledger payments are allocated correctly.
- Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
- Agreeing monthly intercompany balances.
- Posting month end accruals (flights, intercompany).
- Dealing with intercompany loans.
- Allocations intercompany payable vs. receivables.
- Raising ad-hoc payments.
- Processing intercompany recharge invoices.
- Assisting with Year End processes.
- Ad-hoc tasks when required.
Experience and Skills required:
- Experience within a similar finance position including Purchase/Sales Ledger experience and intercompany transactions is required.
- The successful candidate will possess strong organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in accounting software, together with excellent MS Excel skills.
- A willingness to adapt to and embrace change.
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels within the business.
- Excellent team player.
