Our client has a newly created full-time position to cover for Maternity leave within the Finance team, for an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Administrator. They are looking for a motivated professional with a core foundation in transactional finance, with experience of working in a busy accounts department with knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAGE or similar accounting package.

**In your new role, you will be;**
- Supporting day-to-day finance operations including raising purchase order numbers, purchase ledger invoice processing and payment runs.
- A proactive responsibility in ensuring that queries are dealt with in a timely manner, accounts records are kept accurate and all transactional finance tasks are addressed with urgency.

What you'll need to succeed?

**To succeed, you will demonstrate;**
- A core understanding of transactional finance including invoice processing, reconciliations and payment runs.
- This role requires someone to be able to work confidently in a small finance team, has a "can do" attitude and has attention to detail.
- This opportunity will suit someone who is motivated to support with transactional finance tasks and grow with the position overtime.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
