We are looking for a talented Head of BD and Disputes Marketing Lead to join a leading international law firm and play a pivotal role in shaping this firm's success.


About the Role:

As the Head of Business Development, you will lead a talented and dedicated team of ten, providing leadership, encouragement, and development opportunities. Your mission will be to drive the business development strategy across the firm, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, proactive support that enhances the firm’s Recognition, Reputation, Relationships, and Revenue. Additionally, you will personally manage BD & Marketing for the firm’s largest practice area, Dispute Resolution, crafting and executing strategies that position the firm as leaders in the field.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Business Development Managers, fostering a culture of excellence and quality control.
  • Manage the annual practice planning process in collaboration with department heads and the CMO.
  • Implement clear financial and activity reporting processes.
  • Lead firmwide strategic business development projects.


Dispute Resolution BD & Marketing:

  • Develop and manage costed plans for service offerings, overseeing budgets and spend.
  • Identify opportunities and market insights to inform strategies.
  • Manage and update website content, social media, and digital media production.
  • Liaise with the Communications team for PR and media activities.
  • Maintain and update key account tracking and client feedback programs.

  • Proven leadership experience with a focus on team development and quality control.
  • Strong background in professional services, preferably with exposure to Dispute Resolution.
  • Expertise in planning, budgeting, and using data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management capabilities, ensuring timely and high-standard project delivery.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and best practice.
