To carry out equipment maintenance and calibration services as required by the ATL Cardiff facility, in order to minimise downtime, improve customer satisfaction and drive optimisation of processes and equipment.


Health & safety: To ensure the health & safety of employees by following H&S procedures, ensuring that the work areas comply with all necessary health and safety regulations applicable to that area.

Continuous plant improvement: Assess equipment reliability and process methods to minimise equipment downtime and in process scrap, assisting with the implementation of improvements where necessary. This will include processes to measure, analyse and improve the efficiency and yield of current equipment using OEE methodologies, using data gathered to establish optimum capability of current machinery.

Planned maintenance and calibration: Perform effective and efficient maintenance duties (including calibration) across all plant equipment, ensuring that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met. Liaise with all appropriate departments to ensure that manufacturing issues are quickly addressed and that long term solutions are sought.

New process/product development: Ensure that maintenance engineering requirements are clearly articulated, validated and incorporated into new process/product development.

Compliance: Ensure complete compliance to prescribed Company Quality Standards, procedures and processes and to comply with the requirements of GDP and GMP. Adhere to the standards of behaviours, policies and procedures as laid out in the employee handbook.

Others: All other essential related duties as required.


Education/Qualifications

ONC/NVQ/HNC/in Electrical or Mechanical engineering (or relevant experience)


Behaviours/Skills/Experience

Experienced in Preventative Maintenance systems, Manufacturing support and improvements.

Experience within a highly regulated quality environment.

Familiar with problem solving tools and their application.

Working knowledge of PPM and TPM techniques.

Excellent team player.

Computer literate with Microsoft office suite.

Acts with integrity; takes accountability for accuracy and quality of work.

Understanding and delivering internal/external customer focus
