A listed global manufacturing and R&D company, with facilities in the UK, US and China is looking to appoint a People Director to develop and implement a global people strategy that will enable the business to achieve its ambitious growth plan.

As the People Director you will have extensive experience in international manufacturing including a working knowledge of the US market. Liaising with multiple stakeholders you will have proven experience in navigating complex, multi-site operations, driving growth and transformation. Responsibilities will include:
  • Development and implementation of a global people strategy that aligns with overall business objectives and adds value through effective people management.
  • Building strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders, articulating the value of the People team to the business.
  • Cultivating a strong culture, ensuring it meets both people and business needs.
  • Leading Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion programs, enhancing a sense of belonging for all employees.
  • Supporting senior leaders in developing and maintaining high-performing teams, aligning purpose, values, performance, and objectives.
  • Optimising people-centred activities to support company growth, including talent development and succession planning
  • Safeguarding the company's reputation, addressing issues proactively, and ensuring a strong brand presence.
  • Championing employee well-being, ensuring a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Extensive senior leadership experience in an international manufacturing business, supporting a diverse workforce.
  • Proven ability to lead a people team across multiple locations, optimising performance and achieving strategic goals
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current trends in people management in a complex, medium-sized organization.
  • Demonstrable success in project delivery and change transformation.
  • A strong commercial focus with a clear understanding of how business connects to people.
  • Experience in leading business change programs; M&A and integration experience is advantageous.
  • Listed company experience, including exposure to remuneration committees and boards would be advantageous.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to make informed decisions based on facts.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach, willing to provide assistance where needed.
