I have a fantastic and one off opportunity to join a major banks Operations department and head up their projects team. This includes running vast, complex projects, a large team of PM’s and facing off to senior stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities include:


  • Align the delivery portfolio with regional and international Operations strategy, adjusting the roadmap as priorities shift.
  • Track project outcomes and benefits to justify the business case, working with the Accountable Executive and Head to prioritise delivery.
  • Ensure all projects comply with minimum quality standards in the delivery policy, with complete, current, and accurate data.
  • Use expertise to challenge project delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget, in-scope results.
  • Maintain portfolio governance: ensure quorate meetings, annual review of Terms of Reference, and transparent reporting on status, changes, and risks.
  • Establish effective communication within teams and provide feedback for continuous improvement to the Central PMO team.


This is a significant role within the business, managing many complex projects, so a proven track record of delivering programmes and projects to financial institutions on time and within budget is essential. You must also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Investment budget management
  • Investment project allocation agreement
  • Delivery resource review and attestation of on-time portfolio
  • Portfolio Management Subject Matter Expertise
  • Portfolio governance design and delivery
  • Document management
  • Annual portfolio planning
  • Project, Programme, and Portfolio closure
