Job Description

We are seeking a Video Content Creator (vertical format) to join our Social Media team in London. This role is part of our marketing tribe at Wise and as the Content Creator, you will be responsible for leading the production of engaging videos that maximise our reach and drive meaningful engagement across our social media channels.

Your mission: As a key player in the social media team, you'll be the creative force behind our video content strategy. Your mission is to craft captivating video narratives, both long-form and short-form, that resonate with our audience, boost engagement, and amplify our brand presence across social platforms.

In this role you'll:
  • Take ownership of producing and distributing all short-form vertical video content for our TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts channels.
  • Oversee the entire video production process from ideation to publication, with editing support provided. (But should have experience editing)
  • Generate a high volume of vertical, social-first content designed to maximise reach and engagement.
  • Analyse and report on content performance metrics such as views, likes, shares, and comments across your managed channels.
  • Spearhead short-form content ideation and execution, ensuring we're creating scroll-stopping content that encourages interaction and sharing.
  • Demonstrate versatility in creating various content styles, including trending formats, educational snippets, behind-the-scenes, vox pops, and user-generated content adaptations.
  • Collaborate closely with Social Media team members to align video content with broader social media strategies and campaigns.
  • Stay on top of platform-specific trends and algorithm changes to optimise our content for maximum visibility and engagement.
  • Work with our Compliance team to ensure all video content adheres to regulatory standards whilst maintaining its creative edge.
  • Regularly sync with the Video team for brand consistency and to explore cross-platform content opportunities.

Qualifications

What makes you a great fit:
  • A proven track record as a content creator, with a strong personal brand and engaged following on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
  • 3+ years of experience creating viral or highly engaging content in a professional setting, or 5+ years of success in independent content creation.
  • Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms prioritising vertical content, with a keen eye for what makes content shareable.
  • Mastery of the TikTok editor (Capcut), proficiency in mobile editing techniques, and working knowledge of Adobe Suite. Familiarity with design tools like Figma is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret engagement metrics and adapt content strategies accordingly.
  • Exceptional creativity and the ability to turn complex financial concepts into engaging, easily digestible video content.
  • Agility to respond quickly to trending topics and create timely, relevant content.
  • Collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Willingness to appear on camera and be the face of some of our content, when appropriate.
