J3A Recruitment is proud to be working with a Tier 2 Contractor, who have been highly successful through AMP 7 with no sign of slowing down moving into AMP 8. Due to an expanding project pipeline, they are looking to hire multiple Project Managers to oversee the successful cradle-to-grave delivery of engineering projects, specifically within the water industry.


What You Will Be Doing as Project Manager:


As a Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for managing and delivering complex mechanical engineering projects within the water sector, ensuring compliance with agreed cost, scope, and programme requirements. You will be accountable for safe coordination and delivery of multiple projects, varying in size and complexity.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and manage project plans, ensuring resources are aligned with project needs.
  • Coordinate meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication.
  • Oversee site-based activities during installation and commissioning, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, budgets, and reports.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, driving performance and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.


Experience & Qualifications:


  • Proven experience managing mechanical engineering projects in the water industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management from both pre-production and production phases.
  • Ideally qualified to HNC in engineering or construction; SMSTS and CSCS are advantageous.
  • Commercially aware with contract administration experience.
