Here at Futures, we are delighted to be supporting one of the leading FMCG | Food Manufacturing businesses in the UK and worldwide.


Due to recent growth, and various changes within the team, the company is now looking to appoint a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the engineering department with first-line breakdown repairs and machine maintenance.


Reporting into a Team Leader, a Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for making sure that production lines and machinery are running smoothly and efficiently whilst ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out fault diagnosis.
  • First-line repairs on production machinery.
  • Breakdown repairs.
  • Changeovers.
  • Running Adjustments.
  • Line Fitting.
  • PPM's.
  • Maintaining a safe, sustainable and healthy working environment.
  • Understanding the equipment, processes and KPI's.


You will be:

  • Apprentice trained to a Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ | BTEC | C&G | HND | HNC).
  • Experienced in working within a fast-paced manufacturing setting (FMCG preferred).
  • A competent and clear communicator..
