Our UK based client, a globally established and market leading provider of live music, theatre and broadcast events and corporate event production services, is looking for a senior sales and business leader with experience of corporate solutions or services sales to take up the position of Sales and New Business Development Director. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies to grow new business and support existing sales activity in the live event production sector.
Job Description:
This newly created position of Sales and New Business Development Director will be especially focused on new business development, whilst also taking responsibility for leadership and management of an existing sales and account management team with oversight of client relationship management, and project development. You will continue to be fully up to date with emerging trends and technology in live event production whilst being familiar with competitor activity and capability. In your role you will continuously explore and identify opportunities to promote the brand through marketing and other end customer and partner engagement activities. This role is particularly focused on corporate events including company meetings, conferences, product launches, business kick-offs, office or store openings and other special events. The successful candidate will be comfortable being the internal champion and leader of all the commercial activity and results for this sector in the business. The role will include regular travel throughout the UK and internationally as required, visiting customers and partners and networking for business development purposes.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have at least 5 years’ experience in the live production events industry in senior sales or management position. You will already have extensive experience of
developing market sectors particularly in the corporate and special event market. You will also have successfully led and managed sales teams to grow and develop new market sectors and you will enjoy and be entirely comfortable doing this yourself, being naturally able to nurture existing client relationships to develop and increase future business. You will already have some prior corporate working experience and will have well-developed professional approach to customer relationship management.
