The role of?Sous Chef:

  • Cooking?seasonal?classic European cuisine, using quality?fresh?ingredients, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, taste, and presentation.
  • Being an integral part of the wider kitchen management team, helping torun our busy service, ensuring that all company standards are met and maintained.
  • All aspects of kitchen management including ordering of stock, stock control, people management and development, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Working as part of a professional team within a highly organised, well-equipped kitchen.
  • Contributing ideas towards?seasonal changing menus and weekly specials.

What were looking for in a?Sous Chef:

  • Experience as a Sous?Chef?or?Junior Sous Chef?within a similar kitchen environment and/or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of?classical cooking techniques as well as in-depth product knowledge.
  • Proficient andknowledgeable on all Food Safety and?Health & Safety?legislation.
  • Exposure to?back-office?procedures including stock control?and?payroll management would be beneficial.
  • A track record of people development, or for the right candidate, a strong appetite to enhance and develop those skills.
  • Can communicate effectively with all departments in the spirit of the company values.
  • Has the Right to Work in the UK.

Expected earnings from £19.45 per hour
