What the Job InvolvesAs an EDT Social Worker, you will provide a high-quality emergency social work service outside normal working hours for vulnerable individuals. Your responsibilities include immediate crisis management, legal interventions if required, and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the well-being of clients. You are expected to conduct assessments, offer advice, and collaborate with both statutory and voluntary professionals. Administrative tasks such as case recordings and report preparation are crucial, as are attending meetings and court hearings. This role also involves day-time participation, contributing to team development, and addressing health and safety requirements. You will offer support to children and vulnerable adults, assist in emergency needs assessment, and provide immediate resolutions in alliance with Approved Mental Health Professionals and other emergency services.
