We are currently seeking a Revenue Recognition Business Analyst to join our client on an initial 6-month contract basis, contributing to a significant global transformation programme within a Private Equity backed technology business. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial change and efficiency across the organisation.
Key Requirements:
- ACA Qualified
- Demonstrable Revenue Recognition experience
- Proven experience in management consulting
- Proficient in finance transformation programmes
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Responsibilities:
- Revenue Recognition Compliance: Ensure that the company’s revenue recognition processes comply with relevant accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606, IFRS 15) and industry regulations, providing expertise to maintain adherence to these standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data related to revenue streams, including subscription, licensing, and service revenues, to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Generate detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Process Optimization: Evaluate and enhance current revenue recognition processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. Recommend and implement best practices to streamline workflows and reduce manual interventions.
- Systems Integration and Automation: Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement systems that automate revenue recognition processes, ensuring seamless integration with existing ERP and financial systems.
- Participate in daily scrum meetings and coordinate with the product/process owner to review progress at the end of each iteration and educate end-users and processors regarding new enhancements
- Arranging show and tell sessions to ensure development is in line with user expectations
- Review and approve test plans and test cases
- Develop training documentation and deliver end user training
- Identify and agree internal and external process interfaces
- Ability to produce high quality written documentation for all end deliverables
- Support with various projects within the workstream, including Collections Re-design and At Risk Process Re-design
