Hertfordshire, Eastern England, United Kingdom Living Interdependent Focused Env Full time

Job Title: Psychologically Informed Practitioner

Location: Hertford

Contract: 40 hours per week

Job Positions: 6 positions are available for an immediate start subject to references and DBS checks.

Work with us now to change the future

Historically children’s care has been beset with challenges. We aim to transform this by offering a new paradigm, drawing upon the full implementation of psychologically informed environments.

Never been done before, but often tried, this draws from the theories of Dr. Dean Whittington, the architect of PIE to deliver transformation and a paradigm shift.

The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking, based on providing care, compassion and commitment to working within our therapeutic model based on psychologically informed environments. Previous experience of working with children/young people or those adults with well-being issues is essential.

A need to engage in critical thinking whilst working within a team is essential, drawing on reflective practice to build ongoing growth. They will also need to provide unconditional positive regard within their interactions with vulnerable young person, seeing the future potential rather than the label. A range of approaches and evidence will inform the approach to build towards emotional recovery.

Being able to provide a structure and respond to the variances that arise is also essential, given the various dynamics that arise.

The aim is to have fun and build emotional recovery, whilst also resolving issues relating to trauma, loss of well-being and despair. When coming into the company we are looking to build a new innovatory environment, as you grow with us, we will provide ongoing support to attend college to develop therapeutic insights, increase pay along with better conditions and enhance your understanding of the real needs of young people at risk.

Those who help to build the innovation to provide this paradigm shift in the care of young people will prepare you for the rest of your career path.
