Job Overview

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and motivated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Practitioner to join our Community CAMHS East team.

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care and offer a range of specialist interventions under the Thrive framework, including family work and group work.

The post holder will work with a range of professionals from various agencies, including social care, acute care, and community and voluntary sector teams, within the context of CAPA and CYP-IAPT.

Key duties include mental health assessments and interventions for children, young people, and their families, as well as close collaboration with other team members.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, resilient, and passionate about working with this client group.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for a caseload of complex assessment, treatment, and consultation work with children, adolescents, and their families, addressing emotional, psychological, or mental health difficulties.

To operate effectively, the post holder will need to work in ways that are sensitive to and appropriate for the needs of families from diverse racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds.

The post holder will also need to assess reports and clinical information, provide clear and concise information for different audiences, and possess strong report-writing skills.
