Main Duties of the JobThe post holder will work with a range of professionals from various agencies, including social care, acute care, and community and voluntary sector teams, within the context of CAPA and CYP-IAPT. They will provide mental health assessments and interventions to children, young people, and their families, working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Our team of over 4,000 members of staff provide health and social care for people with mental ill health, physical ill health, and learning disabilities across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, and Norfolk.
Person Specification- Essential:
- RMN, RGN, or RSCN
- Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
- Systemic or Family Therapist
- Social Worker or recognised earlier equivalent qualification to practice
- Registration with HCPC/BACP
- Evidence of CPD
- Specialist training in an appropriate area and knowledge of CAPA and CYP-IAPT
- CBT Therapist
- Desirable:
- Further training/qualification in relevant area of practice
- Essential:
- Post-qualification experience in a CAMHS team or related area
- Experience of multi-disciplinary team working and inter-agency collaboration
- Knowledge of child development, child and adolescent mental health, and an understanding of a range of theoretical approaches
- Experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision
- Good general knowledge of the literature and research concerning mental health interventions with children
- Desirable:
- Experience of service quality monitoring, clinical audit, evaluative research, etc.
- Essential:
- Car driver (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 which prevents you from driving)
- Essential:
- Ability to identify and employ mechanisms of clinical governance as appropriate
- Ability to assess reports and clinical information and provide clear and concise information tailored for different audiences
