Working with a diverse portfolio of retailers and key suppliers, you will help create & supply bespoke products within various categories, including Health & Beauty, Personal Care, Toiletries & Household products. Here we want people to be extraordinary. With our entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed, we need a dynamic Product Manager to help build and develop the product portfolio. Reporting into the Senior Product Manager, you’ll develop new and existing products and help seek out new product ideas and categories.

Responsibilities:

  • To develop trend & core Health & Beauty, Personal Care, Toiletries & Household products for the value-retail market.
  • Understand the market, product trends and research, including talking to customers and visiting customer stores. Assess competitors’ products to identify important features and compare performance with equivalent company products.
  • Conduct market research, identify and drive new product development and product upgrades against a plan.
  • Lead on all functions of the product development process including brand development, design, and buying/supplier relations
  • Delegate projects to the product assistant, manage and work with them to ensure they are supported effectively.
  • Deliver products and ranges that are targeted and exceed customer expectations.
  • Manage cross functional relationships with our overseas offices, maintaining our One Team culture at all times.
  • Manage our critical paths and ensure communication is at the front of mind.
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure visibility throughout the business and alignment in the development process.
  • Write clear briefs and communicate efficiently with our suppliers globally.
  • Support and manage product and design briefs. Working closely with the design team to produce and adjust designs to fit customer/brand requirements
  • Be able to work with large amounts of detail.

Be able to work with a diverse workload across a variety of product areas

  • Arrange samples, costs, and presentations for customer meetings and present to customers/ attend customer meetings.
  • Review supplier quotes to ensure competitive and fair pricing. Collaborate with sales to analyse product costs and margins. Suggest and negotiate target prices for product components or the final product to align with profitability goals. Conduct cost-benefit analysis to ensure product features justify the cost quoted.
  • Develop and engage with the wider team on new product concepts. Schedule workflow, approve product samples and assure quality standards through all stages of new product development.
  • Happy to travel to our office locations across the UK and globally.
  • Happy to travel for meetings/ trade shows

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years in a similar role
  • Strong product management and/or product development or brand management experience/ skills
  • Experience in product management role or similar
  • Can show examples of cross functional working
  • Appetite to learn new categories and explore new product ranges
  • Fluent use of Microsoft Office – in particular Outlook, Excel and Power Point
  • Fluent use of online platforms for virtual meetings and presentations
