About the Role:


  • The Portfolio Manager for Zesty Paws will play a pivotal role in overseeing both new and existing products.
  • This individual will be responsible for formulating and executing strategic plans to optimize the product portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulations, and effectively communicating the science behind the products.
  • They will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Ecommerce, to drive the success of the pet supplement business.




Core Responsibilities:


Portfolio Strategy and Management:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product portfolio strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and competitor assessments to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Evaluate product performance, sales data, and customer feedback to recommend portfolio adjustments.


New Product Development:

  • Collaborate with R&D to identify and prioritize new product opportunities.
  • Lead the product development process from ideation to launch, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Conduct market research to validate product concepts and ensure alignment with customer needs.


Scientific Communication:

  • Translate scientific information into consumer-friendly content for marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing teams to develop educational content highlighting the science behind the products.


Regulatory Compliance:

  • Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory to ensure product compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Manage label changes in coordination with Regulatory Affairs and Design teams.


Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Assist the commercial teams across Europe to build product and innovation strategies.
  • Work closely with Ecommerce/Sales to understand customer feedback and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop and implement effective product marketing campaigns.
  • Liaise with the Quality and Regulatory Affairs team to address compliance issues promptly.
