Your role within the team:


  • As a Graphic Designer at Zesty Paws, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity of our brand across multiple platforms.
  • You will be responsible for creating visually appealing, high-quality designs for both static and video content, with a focus on digital-first media.
  • You will work closely with our marketing, product, and social media teams to develop creative assets that engage, inspire, and drive brand growth.




Key Responsibilities:


Graphic Design:

  • Design static visuals for digital platforms including social media, websites, e-commerce channels, email campaigns, and digital ads.
  • Develop visual assets for packaging, in-store displays, and promotional materials.
  • Create eye-catching and brand-consistent designs for banners, infographics, and marketing collateral.


Video Editing:

  • Edit and produce high-quality video content, including product videos, social media videos, ads, and tutorials.
  • Develop motion graphics, animations, and short-form videos to enhance the brand’s digital presence.
  • Manage end-to-end video production processes, including storyboarding, cutting, splicing, color correction, and sound design.


Digital Media:

  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to develop content that aligns with campaign objectives and digital-first strategies.
  • Ensure all designs and videos are optimized for various digital platforms, including social media (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn etc.) and e-commerce sites.
  • Stay up-to-date on digital media trends and best practices to ensure that content remains fresh, relevant, and effective.


FMCG & Brand Understanding:

  • Work on designs and campaigns with a deep understanding of FMCG products, consumer behavior, and brand storytelling.
  • Tailor visuals and videos to the FMCG audience, focusing on product appeal, consumer trust, and quick decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all touchpoints.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure cohesive and consistent branding across all platforms.
  • Present creative concepts and solutions to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with overall brand strategy.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and work is of the highest quality.




Key Skills & Qualifications:


Graphic Design Expertise:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other graphic design software.
  • Strong skills in layout, color theory, typography, and visual storytelling.


Video Editing & Motion Graphics:

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro.
  • Ability to create engaging motion graphics and animations to complement video content.
  • Understanding of post-production processes, including sound design, color grading, and video optimization for digital platforms.


Understanding of FMCG:

  • Proven experience working with or understanding FMCG brands, with a focus on product packaging, promotions, and consumer engagement.
  • Ability to design content that speaks to quick-turnover products, capturing attention in competitive markets.


Digital-First Mindset:

  • Deep understanding of digital platforms and how to design and edit for various social media and web formats.
  • Experience designing for mobile-first platforms and optimizing content for different devices and screens.


Creativity & Innovation:

  • Strong creative thinking and the ability to bring innovative ideas to life through design and video.
  • A portfolio showcasing a wide range of static and video work, especially for digital-first brands and FMCG campaigns.


Communication & Collaboration:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present creative concepts to team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in graphic design and video editing, ideally within the FMCG or digital-first brand environment. Experience in Pet Industry is a plus.
  • Experience working with e-commerce brands or in an agency setting.

Software & Tools Knowledge

  • Graphic Design Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, or similar.
  • Video Editing Tools: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve.
  • Motion Graphics: After Effects, Cinema 4D (optional but a plus).
  • Basic Animation: Familiarity with animating text, logos, and other visual elements.

Bonus/Additional Skills

  • Photography: Knowledge of basic photography and image editing.
  • 3D Animation: Experience with 3D design and animation is a plus.
  • Web Design: Familiarity with web design, HTML/CSS knowledge (optional).
  • Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of marketing and social media strategies to create content that drives engagement.
