What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who is able to cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, that the project's objectives are met and that team members are carrying out their role properly.


Understanding and establishing why a project is important, the ability to calculate/document the cost benefit case that underpins the decision to proceed (or not) and preparing the business case are key elements of the role.


An awareness of regulatory responsibilities including Consumer Duty, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Data Protection Act (DPA) in all projects to ensure compliance to regulations will be advantageous however full training will be given.


Essential Skills

  • Demonstrable experience in a project environment with analysis experience
  • Demonstrable experience of managing the constraints of the project management triangle - cost, time, scope and quality.
  • Experience of creating clear and attainable project objectives within project management methodology best practice, ideally Prince2 or Agile.
  • Understanding of the software life-cycle methodology and ensure quality assurance standards in the work done.
  • Good written/verbal communication skills and workshop/meeting management ability, including supporting all impacted parties to understand all the technical and complex aspects of projects in a simple manner, which aids in clear business communication.
  • Ability to create technical requirements and document them for the team's guidance.
  • Ability to communicate project status through meetings and status reports.
  • Ability to plan own activities, and also work as part of a team and contribute to overall planning activities.
  • Ability to define and procure, where necessary, project delivery requirements like human resources, contractors, material or technology needed to accomplish project objectives.
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to changes in a dynamic environment to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to bind the individuals together and makes sure it results in collective success.
  • Experience of formal techniques and supporting tools for project management.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience of the financial services industry
  • Ability to oversee the work of a technical project delivery team, while considering business management aspects.
  • Computer science, software engineering, information systems, or any other technical field formal education.
  • Good working understanding of the constraints and capabilities of computer systems.
