Altrad Services UK is seeking a dynamic Blue-Collar Resourcing Manager to drive resource optimisation and workforce planning at the HPC site. Accountabilities & Key Deliverables:


• Develop workforce resource strategy in conjunction with delivery partners, ensuring contingency plans in place for scarce resources

• Take responsibility for managing 16 week demand plan with site team, ensuring provision of Resource Co-ordinator resource to support Area leads in capturing demand and managing internal workforce moves between teams

• Liaise with MEH Planning team to capture accurate resource histograms and scenario planning and share with delivery partner teams

• Work with the delivery partner resourcing teams to ensure the provision of SQEP workforce on a timely basis, in line with MEH demand

• Liaise with Ops Directors and Operations teams and communicate changing demand picture

• Manage HSO recruitment process with L&D and the delivery partners

• Identify issues in ability to supply and develop contingency plans as required

• Ensure that resources provided by delivery partner organisations are adequately SQEP

• Liaise with the MEH Onboarding team to ensure that all steps are taken on a timely basis to ensure that the required resources arrive on site on a timely basis, equipped and ready to start work

• Working with the Learning & Development Lead, manage the intake of apprentices and HSOs to MEH from across the delivery partner organisations, in line with MEH demand profiles, ensuring adequate available work to progress their training

• Provide up to date Employment & Skills plan updates on a regular basis

• Liaise with client to ensure scarce skills are identified and risks communicated to ensure these skills are highlighted to government to enable sourcing of non UK labour as required

• Lead and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture

• Role model safety behaviours and act as an ambassador for MEH on site


Minimum Qualifications/ Experience


• Degree or equivalent

• Relevant Professional Qualification – preferably CIPD Qualified

• Minimum of 10 years experience in a senior management role working in an industrial unionised environment.

• Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects

• Can achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).

• Effective communicator, experienced in delivering and operating at a Senior Leadership Level

• Strong leader, experienced in managing within joint ventures, liaising at all levels with a positive, “can do” mentality and the ability to reach sensible compromise positions

• Politically aware – understands the multi stakeholder context in which the role operates and manifests a collaborative approach

• Good client/external body facing experience with excellent working knowledge of the relevant training and funding organisations

• Positive, can-do mentality

• Strong leader with collaborative nature

• Ability to reach sensible compromise position

• Can demonstrate previous record of success in their discipline
