Our global client has an excellent opportunity for a permanent Accounts/Finance Assistant to be based at their Head Office in Newbridge, Edinburgh.


This is a fully office based role, working 8.45am-5.00pm, Monday-Friday.


The Accounts/ Finance Assistant will support the finance business partner with day to day intercompany and sales recharge operations, which will include:


  • Invoice processing & checking supplier statements.
  • Ensuring purchase ledger payments are allocated correctly.
  • Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
  • Agreeing monthly intercompany balances.
  • Posting month end accruals (flights, intercompany).
  • Dealing with intercompany loans.
  • Allocations intercompany payable vs. receivables.
  • Raising ad-hoc payments.
  • Processing intercompany recharge invoices.
  • Assisting with Year End processes.
  • Ad-hoc tasks when required.



Experience and Skills required:

  • Experience within a similar finance position including Purchase/Sales Ledger experience and intercompany transactions is required.
  • The successful candidate will possess strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in accounting software, together with excellent MS Excel skills.
  • A willingness to adapt to and embrace change.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels within the business.
  • Excellent team player.


In return our client offers an excellent basic salary, along with other benefits including: 24 days holidays + 8 statutory days, pension scheme (6% employer contribution) and Lofe Assurance.
