Our client, a growing biotechnology company, is searching for a QC Technician to join their team based in Farnborough on a permanent basis. As QC Technician, you will work in their product release testing team having a primary focus on supporting QC microbiological testing, batch release assays and development of new test methods.


QC Technician responsibilities

  1. Regular QC testing and analyses for product releases
  2. Ad hoc testing of production samples
  3. Timely completion of QC reports as part of QMS
  4. Supporting the development of new QC assays
  5. Prepare lab media and reagents for testing
  6. Maintain and calibrate lab equipment regularly
  7. Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)


QC Technician requirements

  1. BTEC, NVQ, A-Level or BSc in a related field of study (microbiology)
  2. Experience working in a molecular biology or microbiology testing laboratory
  3. Proficiency in dilution plating and qPCR assay techniques.
  4. Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  5. Experience working with SOPs
  6. Excellent aseptic techniques and lab record-keeping skills
  7. Data analysis and reporting skills
  8. Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills


This is a full-time permanent position with the team – 37.5hrs with a working schedule that includes at least one day of weekend cover (e.g., Tue-Sat, Wed-Sun, Sat-Wed, or Sun-Thu).


You must be able to provide your own transportation to the site.
