Now with four boutiques in London and an impressive roster of international stockists, Tom Davies has built an impressive customer base of stylish celebrities, sports personalities, and discerning individuals, alongside Tom’s extensive film and television work.


Role summary


We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Retail Manager to oversee and develop one of our bespoke opticians in Canary Wharf, London. Given the high-end nature of our retail stores, the role will be customer facing as well and managing the team.


Key duties include:


  • Day to day team and rota management ensuring appropriate coverage at all times
  • Performing appraisals, focusing on how to development the team
  • Reporting sales performance to the group management team
  • Assisting the marketing team to drive customer engagement
  • Assisting customers throughout their journey including advising on fitment and materials, performing optical dispensing and where required, measuring and fitting fully bespoke frames.Selecting and refreshing boutiques’ stock and displays in line with customer profiles to maximise sell through
  • Managing customer appointments, including follow up visit, annual health checks etc
  • Ensuring the stores appearance is kept to an exceptional standard
  • Helping to develop our new dry eye clinics



Required skills and experience


  • You must already have managed an optical retail store
  • Experience of managing teams, ideally in similar high-end retail environment
  • Experience handling customers, ideally in a similar high-end retail environment
  • Ability to interpret KPIs and report these succulently to the group management team
  • Preferably a qualified dispensing optician registered with the General Optical Council

  • Salary depends on experience

  • Role reports to the Group CEO
  • Role is for 5 days per week and will include some weekends as our Canary Wharf store operates 7 days per week
