This role would see you providing direction and leadership for the Editorial (scientific/writing) Team, driving business generation, both new and existing, whilst mentoring and motivating the team to maintain the highest standards of editorial/scientific delivery in terms of quality, ethics and compliance. You will be key in driving the continued evolution of the teams editorial capabilities.


The Group Director Scientific Services, fully understands and provides input to the company business strategy and helps to ensure this is effectively adhered to and delivered across the agency. The Group Director SS is also responsible for working closely with the Business Unit Directors (BUD) to drive the company’s growth and service offering.


This position sits on the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), acting as senior counsel, as a role model and inputting into and driving company-wide initiatives and upholding their values to nurture and support a collaborative culture.


Preferably PhD, but science degree and/or significant interest in the area as an alternative and proficiency in Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is preferred.


The role will require:-


• Extensive experience (10+ years) in a senior medical communications Editorial / Scientific Services / Writing role

• Knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas

• Ability to influence at all levels

• Extensive experience of managing teams


This role reports into the MD and you will line manage Senior members of the Editorial / Writing team as appropriate.
