Role Overview

We’re on the lookout for a new Category Manager to join their team. In this pivotal role, you'll shape the category vision and drive growth with their key customers. Leveraging data and analytics, you'll provide insights, identify opportunities, and develop tailored category development plans that drive revenue, market share, and profitability. Your strategic insights and passion will shape the product offerings, influence shopper behaviour, and ensure they meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze and review key customer commercial activities to identify customer-specific opportunities.
  • Category Development: Develop and implement category development plans that drive revenue, market share, and profitability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our Commercial Team across multiple sites, managing category spend and supporting the development of best-in-class working practices.
  • Innovation: Lead own brand innovation ranges, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
  • Relationship Management: Nurture relationships with customers and colleagues, acting as a collaborative team player with the ability to influence.


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Previous fresh produce category management experience in a fast-paced, consumer-centric environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in data and trends analysis, with a desire to develop skills in wider marketing.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for food and nurturing relationships.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively and influence colleagues.


Job Details

Type: Full-time, permanent position

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Split between our two UK sites, with occasional travel to customer sites

Salary: Attractive starting salary of up to £55,000, plus company benefits
