About the Client:
Our client is a respected wealth management firm specialising in discretionary investment management and model portfolio services (MPS) for high-net-worth (HNW) individuals. The firm partners with Financial Advisers to provide high-quality investment solutions tailored to their HNW clients’ needs.
Role Overview:
We are recruiting an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager on behalf of our client. The focus of this role is to build strong referring partnerships with IFAs—primarily SME businesses in the London and/or South East region. This role is critical in expanding the firm’s network of adviser partnerships to offer discretionary investment management and model portfolio services (MPS) to their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and establish relationships with IFAs across London and the South East to promote the firm’s discretionary investment management and MPS offerings.
- Develop trusted partnerships with advisers to ensure their clients have access to tailored investment management solutions.
- Create and execute a strategic business development plan to drive growth and meet partnership targets.
- Regularly meet with IFAs to present the firm’s discretionary management and MPS capabilities, emphasizing how these services align with client needs.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to position the firm’s solutions effectively.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, including investment management and marketing, to ensure seamless client experiences.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development within wealth management or financial services focused on HNW clients, ideally with a background in investment management.
- Established network of IFAs in London and the South East.
- Strong knowledge of discretionary investment management, model portfolio services (MPS), and the market more broadly
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of achieving business development targets.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
