The hotel also includes one beautiful penthouse apartment which boasts its own private roof terrace, a 100m2 entertainment area and views across the London skyline. In addition, the hotel brings a new neighbourhood eatery, OXBO Bankside to the area, alongside The Distillery, a cool and casual bar.

The hotel also features Bankside's largest and most exquisite Ballroom accommodating up to 700 guests theatre style or 500 in a banquet setting. With a private entrance, a 6-metre high ceiling, dramatic chandeliers, a balcony and sweeping marble staircase leading to the Bankside Ballroom, this is a spectacular venue for any grand celebration, fashion show, awards ceremony or corporate event.

Job Description

Execute all aspects of the contract along with corresponding arrangements between the hotel and customer during the meeting or event. Acts as liaison between the customer and the hotel by directing each department within the hotel as to their specific role in the on-site event. Successful achievement of this goal will ultimately result in a major contribution to the re-booking of business for future dates. Maximizes revenues through effective up-selling of products and services. Promotes services for future business. This role is key to ensuring that clients visions are brought to life with exceptional service and meticulous attention to detail, ultimately enhancing the hotels reputation as a premier event destination.

Role in our Family
  • To serve as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through each stage of event planning and execution
  • Take ownership of all requests made by the client or delegate requests
  • To maintain high standards of communication and collaboration across all hotel departments to ensure the flawless delivery of events
  • In partnership with other department heads and stakeholders, identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue
  • Ensure correct forecasting of their own Events to incl. pre and post event details
  • Take ownership of all requests made by the client or delegate requests.
  • Act as the first point of contact for immediate assistance during meetings and events, acting as the conduit to channel requirements to other hotel departments.

  • In partnership with other department heads and stakeholders, identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue
  • Obtain quotations for hire or purchase of items required for events as instructed by management
  • Ensure compliance of all credit policies and procedures in line with the directive from head office
  • Check the clients final invoicing for all their events is correct and send with the appropriate covering letter and adhering to the timelines set within the SOP.
  • Greet meeting planners, take them to their meeting room and run through the order of events.
  • Assist and take arriving delegates to their meeting location.
  • Establish a good rapport with clients, maintaining positive relationships with meeting planners and delegates and third party suppliers.
  • Support the organiser/chairperson/facilitator in the use of and understanding of the basic AV and technical equipment in the meeting room. For meetings with more comprehensive AV requirements the AV expert will be responsible for this, and the Event Manager will simply manage and oversee the support required
  • Attend to customers requests during the meeting e.g. internet access, air-conditioning, lighting, additional AV requirements, adjustments to break times in collaboration with the Events Operating Department.
  • Attend to and resolve customer complaints.
  • Ensure all customer feedback compliments / complaints and any requested changes impacting the organisation of the event are collated and passed on to the relevant internal departments.
  • Attend weekly BEO meeting to communicate details for upcoming functions.
  • Attend and conduct menu tastings
  • Co-ordinate small and last-minute requests for events by communicating directly with the organizer and creating function sheets for distribution according to the agreed standards
  • Ensure Delphi is always accurate and up to date with the latest event information
