Your New Role
As the Senior Financial Reporting Manager, you will be integral to the technical finance function of the business. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of finance professionals overseeing financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements, adhering to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Board Reports: Prepare and present comprehensive reports to the board, providing insights and strategic recommendations.
- Audit Coordination: Maintain and enhance relationships with external auditors, ensuring smooth and efficient audit processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement and advocate for best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Qualifications: ACA or ACCA Qualified.
- Experience: Ideally from a Big 4/Top 10 practice. Ideally with industry experience or first mover from the profession with post qualified experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical accounting skills with a thorough understanding of financial reporting standards.
- Leadership: Proven experience in managing and developing a finance team.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous and focused approach to work, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Mindset: A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance processes and systems.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and provide insightful recommendations to senior leadership.
